Dèagol is from the Lord of the Rings; not Monty Python and the Holy Grail or Brazil, nor is he from Counter-Strike or American McGee's Alice in Wonderland, though sometimes he wonder's a bit about that last one.

His actual name is Nahald (just as Smèagol's is Trahald) and it means Secret.

For the sake of arguement, my version is considerably similar to Sam but in a good way. Inspite of the silliness I've done in Dèagol's name, I find my workings of him (while perhaps not canon if only for the lack of much detail about him in the books) to be quite interesting and I hope you will too. Though for the most part, this livejournal is probably going to run rampant with injokes and perverse humor. XD

Please visit the other Dèagol, who's in my friends list, btw. As amazed as I would be to find this journal getting more hits than his (I'm not a member of the Middle-Earth Sock Puppet Theatre), I feel the urge to plead with any and all that might see mine first. Thank you!

Well, I was just hanging around the Gladden Fields as a ghostie for awhile. And since Isildur's already got a better chance at filling out that job description, I don't feel none too bad for having left it. For those of you wondering, afore then I was alive and I was Smèagol's bestest friend. EVER.

... And more, but we won't go into that. *coughIlovehimstillcough* Anyway, that's me!

It's the only explaination for having such absolutely hidious luck. If something can go wrong, it will go wrong. If good ol' Dèagol is there, it'll go wrong in a heartbeat and make sure he's absolutely, horribly miserable for quite some time afterwards. Strengths: Dèagol tends to be good-natured, gentle, surprisingly meek, and considerate of others. He's actually a good judge of character and a fast friend 'til the end, even if he can't always help you out. He likes doing things for other people and can be quite sentimental at times. He often has very good hunchs too. Those are one of the things that've kept him alive for this long! Well... that is, until he ignored the biggest one and didn't really hide the ring from Smèagol. Weaknesses: Inadvertantly easily offends good folkses, partly from being rather shy and easily sulky and partly because his tendency not to talk when he's desperately hoping to make a good impression is often taken as a sign of stupidity or aloofness. Tends to let people walk all over him until he can't take anymore and bursts out in a small fit of rage, which he immediatly regrets. He's easily lead, too. Special Skills: Fishing, mending things, making things, farm-work, hard labor, navigation, and... intimidation when he cares to, for he's a right big hobbit but he doesn't get in fights if he can help it. Can swim, just not extremely well. Weapons: A small pocket knife he carries at all times and his fists. And sometimes his head and his legs. He really doesn't know much about fighting, though. Affections: He still loves that bastard Smèagol, even after all this time. And his family, even though they're long dead and not hanging about or anything the way he was. ...He'd probably like most of the Fellowship and pretty near anyone else that didn't treat him like dirt if he met them. Is very uncertain of his mun because she seems to be vicious towards any and all fictional characters, despite professing great love for them.
